To do this we first assess the impact of change on the skills and knowledge required by a role. This is done using a comprehensive role analysis template applied through direct role observation, interviews and data review. We then use the outcome of this analysis to design a comprehensive learning plan detailing training sequences and content.  The learning plan is designed to apply the principles that adults:

  • are self-motivated and self-directed
  • are independent
  • like to find their own way
  • can make their own decisions
  • want to manage their own learning

The learning plan may include formal courses, knowledge requirements, structured field experience to build understanding of context and practical coaching on routine and infrequent applied skills.
